Dalí was born on May 11, 1904, in Figueras, a province of Gerona. Dali had a brother who died at the age of seven years, and a sister, Her first painting teacher was Juan Nuñez. In 1916, Dali discover modern painting in Paris In 1921, Dalí's mother died. In 1922, Dali was studying at the student resident in Madrid and the Royal Academy of Arts of San Fernando. It was a great friend of the poet Federico García Lorca and the film director Luis Buñuel. In 1926 made his first trip to Paris where he mets Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. They influyed in their art but he do his style.In 1929 he mets Gala, The more important woman in his life. In 1940, Dalí went to live with Gala to the United States, where he was until 1948. In 1974 inaugurated the Museum Dalí in his town. Dali died on January 23 1989
